Recently lot of people have asked this question and still they are going on talking in XDA. People wanted to have a free Rom like Android which make them easy to keep their documents and also they wanted to use it as a storage device which gives easy access to their personnel documents and it also remove the use of thumb drives. But people never thought Windows powered mobile devices are so much restricted to user’s when they bought the device. They thought that it will be just cool as Windows OS which we use in Laptops and PCs. Therefore they all are trying to find a way to get rid of Windows in their mobile device.
When we talk about Windows powered smartphone, we have to understand that Windows phones are very new to the market. After success of iOS and Android it is very difficult for another company to access to the market. The fine example is the blackberry market. It is just getting vanish compare to the both huge market of iOS and Android. But Microsoft are really working hard to achieve the result to compete with these two market leaders. They have brand new concept in their devices and those devices are very much unique compare to other brands. The tile based smooth system and Xbox integration are some of the cool features of it and they have already announce Windows 8 for their devices.
Some people say HD2 is also hacked and android is installed so why they cannot install Android on other Windows devices. When we talk about HD2 there are lot of differences in the devices. Firstly HD2 is powered by Windows mobile 6.0 which Microsoft have stopped giving support to develop and it’s market will not be developed further. Because of that reason hackers found out a way to keep HD2 going on in the market. The main reason for this was it have pretty much good hardware and when we look in to today’s hardware details this device is still in touch with the market. Today HD2 can be hacked and install any of the OS that people want. Whether it is Android or Windows or Ubuntu.
Windows Phone 7 are also hacked but developers do not want to ruin the future of these devices by finding a way to install Android. They have already unlocked the bootloader and found out a way to install RSPL/HSPL which give access to install custom rom for their WP7 devices. The custom Rom’s are based on latest Windows Phone roms and every one are given chance to install highly customized OS for their device and it gives access to root folders where anyone can edit the system files. So we can say developers do not want to ruin Windows based smartphone because they are unique in their way and it is getting the market as it crosses the days.
Therefore my advice for those who are searching for this result is to buy an Android powered device. There is no way you can install Android on Windows phones. Of course you might have found some kind of video which was based on HD7 running Android but that one is a chinese one. It have very much different hardware and it is not the HD7 that we are thinking. If you want you can buy that HD7 on some Chinese website but believe me it will not satisfy you. There are very limited roms for those Chinese devices and those are not updated.
