We have being hearing about having a standard charger in European countries. European Union having discussing about this for several months. From start of 2011 all mobile companies should include a microUSB charging spot in all mobile phones in order to fit EU standards. The main reason to introduce standard charger for the EU is to reduce Environmental damage. Each year millions and tonnes of unusable accessories are dump as waste when each user upgrades their mobile device from one to another.
Introduction of this new rule will apply to all major developers including Apple, Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericssion, Motorola etc. But the question is what these giant companies are going to do ion order to practice this rule. Apple branded handsets does not have any microUSB spots so far. It will be a huge change that they have to do if they are going to adopt the standard charger decision. We will see how these companies enter to new rules of EU in order to have their market share in mobile market.
