We have hearing about Nokia and Microsoft having a deal in developing windows based Nokia phones. If this is going to happen it will be one of the hitting moment for the cell phone industry for the year 2011. Nokia is one of the best developers with a huge range of products in the market today. If they could load Windows7 on their handy tools we will be able to enjoy such a great operating system without spending lot of money. If we are trying to buy a windows7 based mobile phone today in the market, we have to spend more than $300 which is quite lot compare to other devices.
We have hearing about Nokia developing an OS called MeeGo. MeeGo is an operating system that Nokia develops normally to run on Tablets rather than cell phones. But it is possible that it can load on mobile phones like Nokia N900 and other powerful devices. According to rumors MeeGo will be able to run Symbian based Applications & Games. Therefore if it comes that way, we will enjoy a lot of advantages over other devices.
With the development of MeeGo and agreement with windows based Nokia devices , question remains on Symbian OS. Symbian OS is the only operating system which gave access to lot of new innovative software in almost every category. Therefore we will be happy to see a day Nokia raises again and make a huge change.
We have being hearing about having a standard charger in European countries. European Union having discussing about this for several months. From start of 2011 all mobile companies should include a microUSB charging spot in all mobile phones in order to fit EU standards. The main reason to introduce standard charger for the EU is to reduce Environmental damage. Each year millions and tonnes of unusable accessories are dump as waste when each user upgrades their mobile device from one to another.
Introduction of this new rule will apply to all major developers including Apple, Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericssion, Motorola etc. But the question is what these giant companies are going to do ion order to practice this rule. Apple branded handsets does not have any microUSB spots so far. It will be a huge change that they have to do if they are going to adopt the standard charger decision. We will see how these companies enter to new rules of EU in order to have their market share in mobile market.
